Price on the phone was $60, but changed to $80 once I arrived, until I questioned.
They were completely rude and unprofessional; never been treated that way in my life. Will certainly not stay here again.
Over charged $50 on my credit card for first night! Then we wrote a check for the full amount when the owner said the charge didn't go through. Then discovered the credit card charge did go through, we had to dispute the charge, and change the credit card number, because we are afraid of other charges from the Greenlight, because he had our account information! Mold in the coffee pot, broken boards on the deck, blinds that were broken in the bathroom, potholes in the drive, .see pictures......
The bad... There was an old mattress with a trash pile leaning on the left of the outside of the cabin. The screens for all windows/doors were either missing or had holes. There was an unpleasant aroma of cat urine. The hot tub in the kitchen/living area had a nice mold collection on the top and on the floor. I felt like we were invading the spiders territory, and they were trying to reclaim. At 8am, a man was on the front porch of the cabin having a heated conversation (with swearing) about doing work on the cabin. There was no office to go to, only the closed bar where we picked up the key and paid. Check out was at 11am, but the bar (office) was still closed when we left at 10am. Since there wasn't anywhere to leave the key, it was left on the table.
Rate charged was $25.00 more per night than quoted over the phone. First impressions were bad. Snow removal poor, hard to open the door. Toilet clogged and bathroom dirty scum and bugs in the corners, filthy sink, pubes in the shower. No light in the back bedroom(no light-bulb so moved one from a lamp). I had to get cleaner from my son's apartment. (Visiting over Winter Carnival). No pots or pans or coffee pot, so come prepared or don't expect to use the mini kitchen. Bed was comfortable enough. Not recommended. Will not stay again. No idea about the bar, but I won't eat there after seeing the lack of cleanliness of the cabin.
I won't be returning, and highly recommend looking for lodging elsewhere...
The good... There was a oven, hot and cold water, the beds were made, the lights worked, and the cable television functioned (even though I don't watch television.)
